The Foot & Ankle CenterFoot and ankle pain is a common disorder. Almost 80% of the population will experience pain in their lives as a result of foot, toe or ankle problems including ankle sprains and fractures. This is no surprise when you consider the fact that walking puts up to 1½ times your bodyweight on your foot and an average person will walk approximately 1,000 miles a year. At the Orthopedic Institute Foot and Ankle Center, we believe that no one should have to live with painful foot or ankle conditions. Our specially trained physicians are fully equipped to diagnose and treat problems such as calluses and bunions, serious injuries and disorders such as fractures, deformities, ankle instability, and sports-related injuries, as well as arthritis and heel pain. Many foot and ankle problems can be remedied with conservative care, including orthotic devices. For patients with conditions that fail to respond to conservative care, surgical intervention may be necessary. The Foot and Ankle Center employs a multidisciplinary approach to treatment that involves the orthopedic surgeon, radiologists, rheumatologists and physical therapists to ensure each and every aspect of your care is addressed, from initial consultation, diagnosis and treatment, through recovery. At the Foot and Ankle Center, our goal is to relieve patients of pain and return function and enjoyment to their everyday activities. Foot and Ankle Conditions and Procedures Foot:
