R.J. Amin, M.D. Education & Certification
In 1975, Dr. Amin came to Oklahoma City to complete an additional two-year anesthesiology residency at the University of Oklahoma. Prior to this, he earned my medical degree at M.S. University of Baroda, Baroda, India in 1972. Following graduation from medical school, Dr. Amin went on to pursue training in general surgery and then completed internal medicine, emergency medicine and anesthesiology residencies in England. As a physician subspecializing in pain management, his practice focuses on treating acute and chronic neck and back pain, persistent leg and arm pain, and work-related injuries. Dr. Amin also provides a variety of nonoperative treatments to help return function to patients’ lives. Dr. Amin works with the other Orthopedic Institute physicians to develop the best individualized care plan for each patient. As a member of the Orthopedic Institute team, he is committed to providing nonsurgical pain management treatment with individualized and compassionate care. In addition to practicing medicine, Dr. Amin is passionate about learning and teaching. He has dedicated 18 years to the University of Oklahoma in the Department of Anesthesiology as a Clinical Assistant Professor. He has also completed over 280 hours of continuing medical education courses, focusing on pain management. Dr. Amin is a frequent lecturer and educates physicians on pain management’s frequently treated problems and prescribes treatments.When he is not practicing medicine, he enjoys traveling and playing golf.
