Following graduation from medical school, Dr. Grillo served in active duty in the United States Army as a General Medical Officer, completing his orthopedic surgery residency at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas, in 1984. Dr. Grillo then completed an Orthopedic Fellowship at the Orthopaedic & Reconstructive Research Foundation before going to Emory University for advanced training in foot and ankle surgery.

As an orthopedic surgeon with over 20 years experience and specialized training, Dr. Grillo’s practice is primarily focused on the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of a broad spectrum of foot and ankle conditions. His practice focuses on treating common problems such as bunions, sprains and fractures, as well as complex conditions and nerve problems related to trauma, diabetes and degenerative arthritis. Dr. Grillo works with the Orthopedic Institute team to develop the best individualized care plan for each patient. He is committed to providing surgical and nonsurgical treatment to help restore function to his patients' lives.

In addition to practicing medicine, Dr. Grillo is passionate about research and education. He has completed over 200 hours of continuing medical education courses and is a frequent lecturer on treatment of the foot and ankle. Dr. Grillo is actively involved in research through the Oklahoma Foundation for Orthopedic Health and Health Research Institute. He is an avid runner and enjoys building Y8 scale model railroads and reading.
