R.M. Kamath, M.D. Education & Certification
Dr Kamath is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, earning his medical degree in 1965 from the Seth G.S. University in Bombay, India. After completing a rotating internship and orthopedic residency in 1971 at King Edward Memorial Hospital in Bombay, he went on to complete a general surgery residency at New York Infirmary in New York City in 1973, as well as an orthopedic residency at New York University Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital also in New York City in 1976. Dr. Kamath has been practicing orthopedic surgery in the state of Oklahoma since 1976. His practice is primarily focused on joint replacement and reconstructive surgery of the knee and hip. As a member of the Orthopedic Institute team, he is committed to providing patient education and injury prevention, including up-to-date surgical and nonsurgical care. In addition to practicing medicine, Dr. Kamath is actively involved in research and education through the Oklahoma Foundation for Orthopedic Health. He is also a current member of the American Medical Association, Oklahoma State Medical Association, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and the Pottawatomie County Medical Society.
